GLBE13-301: Capstone Project B: Sustainable Action

Description

This extended practical and transformative capstone empowers students to apply their interdisciplinary knowledge and skills to real-world sustainability challenges in a detailed, in-depth project. Students will design, execute, and communicate sustainable solutions, showcasing their capacity to drive positive change and become effective sustainability leaders and advocates. Students will work with government or industry peers to establish the utility and feasibility of solutions.

Learning outcomes

  1. Formulate an innovative and actionable sustainability project that addresses a specific environmental or social challenge.

  4. Engage with government or industry peers to review the utility and feasibility of a project's scope and aims.

Assumed knowledge:

Assumed knowledge is the minimum level of knowledge of a subject area that students are assumed to have acquired through previous study. It is the responsibility of students to ensure they meet the assumed knowledge expectations of the subject. Students who do not possess this prior knowledge are strongly recommended against enrolling and do so at their own risk. No concessions will be made for students’ lack of prior knowledge.

Students must be in the final semester of their program, having completed 200 credit points before enrolling.
