BUSN11-200: Foundations of Enterprise

Description

Foundations of Enterprise is an introduction to foundational concepts of business. Students will learn basic functions of economics, finance, accounting and marketing and their significance to organisational behaviour and decision making.  Case study analysis will be introduced to assist the development of business acumen and literacy regarding the roles that markets and money play in both the external and internal contexts. Students will develop knowledge of the language of enterprise and learn to communicate analytical information to a business audience.

Assumed knowledge is the minimum level of knowledge of a subject area that students are assumed to have acquired through previous study. It is the responsibility of students to ensure they meet the assumed knowledge expectations of the subject. Students who do not possess this prior knowledge are strongly recommended against enrolling and do so at their own risk. No concessions will be made for students’ lack of prior knowledge.
