Bonding with the Bull Sharks: Grace Hamilton

Name:

Grace Hamilton.

Sport/club:

Netball and Volleyball.

Study/work:

Degree: Bachelor of Journalism.

Primary jobs: Sky News, Bunnings and Ray White Commercial.

What’s your nickname and how did you get it?

Hamo: for people who found ‘Grace’ too basic, and ‘Hamilton’ too long.

What are you currently streaming?

Gilmore Girls and Heartstopper (both on Netflix).

You've got the day off, the weather is perfect and you’ve got money in your pocket. Where would we find you?

Disneyland 100 per cent.

Who is your nemesis?

The person who invented morning trainings.

What’s your superstition?

If I have a carnival that lasts a few days, I have to wear the same bike pants and socks every day. That means washing them every night of course. Sometimes I’ll suffer and wear them slightly damp if I have to.

If you could invite three people to a dinner party, who would they be?

Kiefer Sutherland, G-Eazy and Mark Wahlberg.

And if you’re the chef, what’s on the menu?

Maple pork chops with brussels sprouts, zucchini and bacon.

What is your greatest sporting memory?

My debut for Ruby Tigers back in 2019. It was the last game of the season and as a training partner, I got called up to fill an injury. I definitely thought I was going to ruin the team’s mojo but turns out I was being dramatic.

Who is your most annoying teammate and why?

Not naming names but anyone who talks down on themself for a simple mistake annoys me so much. Is that too harsh?
