How to apply
"The Master of Advertising program at Bond is a simulated agency ('The Upper Basement') that helps to cater to each individual’s goals and future aspirations. It helps prepare you for the real world, what a real agency is like, and the different roles within an advertising agency.
During my time at Bond, I definitely felt supported by all the staff members, starting from January through until December. The staff helped me to improve all the skills that I wanted to work on, and offered constructive feedback. Working in an agency environment helps to develop everyone’s skills, whether it was design, strategy, or research, and everyone receives a lot of support from Faculty."
"The Master of Advertising course has prepared me professionally and definitely sharpened my leadership skills. I think studying a Master of Advertising at Bond challenges you to improve your skills and requires you to manage people, one of the biggest skills that I have acquired throughout this degree. People are going to be your biggest obstacle in life, that is just a reality and how it is in the workplace. The workplace environment at Bond, because it is practical in nature, has set me up for an easier life outside of university.
The Master of Advertising is a very practical course as it is a simulated Advertising agency. You are assigned a role, which you get to choose at the beginning of the year. You have to step into this role and take accountability for your work throughout the year. I would definitely recommend that individuals know agency roles before applying for a Masters of Advertising and know what they are stepping into. Don’t be afraid or intimidated by the fact that you have to know Photoshop or Indesign, because you will be taught those skills while you’re at Bond and you will also accumulate professional skills as you go. Come with an open mind, definitely be prepared to work hard, and I am sure you will succeed."
