Professional biography
Tanisha Jowsey joined Bond University in 2022 as Associate Professor of Medical Education and Professionalism. Tanisha is a social scientist, with extensive health professions research and teaching experience. Tanisha has an international reputation in health service research on patient experience of chronic illness, communication and teamwork of healthcare professionals, and student learning in the health professions. Tanishaโs research has been used to inform healthcare policies by the World Health Oganization (WHO) and the UK National Institute for Clinical Evidence (NICE). She has over 100 peer-reviewed publications and has directed 12 ethnographic and autoethnographic documentary films. Tanisha has designed and facilitated successful curricula for multiple international tertiary education settings in New Zealand, Australia, and China.
