Professional biography

Glen Tunks combines his academic role as a Teaching Fellow with extensive industry experience in developing and implementing community health/fitness programs. As presenter of the Gatorade Maximum Performance Program, his role involved organising, supervising and motivating secondary school students to participate in a series of health and fitness seminars. He has also worked as an exercise physiologist, corporate exercise trainer and facilities manager at various large-scale fitness centres. Mr Tunks' in-depth knowledge of the industry and extensive client experience complements his academic qualifications and brings an intensely practical perspective to his classes. In 2009, he was responsible for the administration of the annual Sports Management Association of Australia and New Zealand (SMAANZ) Conference, held at Bond University.

Teaching expertise

Responsible for the development, administration, coordination, management and delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate sport management and sport/exercise science subjects.
