Professional biography

Dr Amy Bannatyne is an Assistant Professor of Psychology and Phase 1 Student Support Lead in the Medical Program at Bond University. Amy is an early career researcher whose main research interests focus on (i) understanding and reducing volitional (blame-based) stigma in eating disorders using etiological framing and educational interventions, and (ii) improving the identification and measurement of disordered eating in pregnancy, a highly stigmatised scenario. For her PhD research, she developed and validated the Disordered Eating Attitudes in Pregnancy Scale (DEAPS).
