Before you make that big decision of where to study, it’s only natural to want to see the place in person. After all, you wouldn’t buy a house without at least going for an inspection, right? Open days are a great opportunity to explore a university’s grounds, taste the coffee, traipse through the hallways and even figure out the parking situation. They’re an invaluable way to get to know your future place of study before you commit.

Four things to do at Open Day
Open Day is one not to miss – here are four things you should tick off your list while you're visiting us on campus.
1. Explore a study area or two
University life is busy, and comprises lots of things, but the most important is – of course – your studies. Dive into our study areas and learn what excites you through chatting with our amazing academics and students. Have all of your questions answered, and get a full, clear picture of what studying at Bond could be like.
2. Be inspired by a keynote presentation
Head over to the ADCO Ampitheatre for a veritable feast of presentations from our Bondies, staff and some local experts. From employability to what makes our student experience stand out, there's a keynote talk to suit everyone.
3. Take a behind-the-scenes tour of campus
Roam around campus with one of our knowledgeable student guides. See the spots that really interest you, whether that's classrooms and learning facilities or the best places to eat, catch up with friends, get involved or play sport.
4. Check out the Connect Lounge
Finish up a fantastic day by heading to the Connect Lounge for a chat with someone who's done it all before! Meet Bond alumni, current students, their parents and our Regional Managers to have any last questions answered.

We’ll be delivering a stellar line-up consisting of four engaging keynote presentations. Turn up and tune into one or all four, each of which has been designed to explore a facet of the student experience at Bond.
12PM: What do employers want?
It’s the age-old question – what do employers really want from prospective employees? The current career landscape is more competitive than ever, and on the surface, there seems to be an ever-growing list of skills that graduates need when entering the workforce.
From the knowledge learned throughout your studies, to the soft skills every future worker should have, this session uncovers what employers are truly looking for during the hiring process. Learn how to set yourself apart from the rest and nail down the right job in this insightful panel interview.
Hosted by Professor Dawn Bennett, Assistant Provost, you’ll hear from Andrew Arthur (Chief of Staff, ABC Gold Coast), Kimberley Bernard (Bond alumna and News Reporter, ABC Gold Coast) and Courtney Martin (National Business Development Manager, Bond University Career Development Centre).

12.30PM: How to get ‘future fit’
Television reporter, foreign correspondent, speaker and author Andrea Clarke knows what it takes to stay relevant and competitive in the future of work. She encourages people to be 'future fit' through writing, speaking & delivering digital learning programs.
Hear from Andrea, a Bond alumna and former lecturer, as she shares her insights about what to expect from the future of careers, and gives her tips for staying up-to-date with the needs of the modern workplace.
About Andrea Clarke
A former television news reporter and Washington D.C. correspondent, Andrea Clarke covered major news events for Al Jazeera English, the Pentagon Channel and Thomson Reuters before working on humanitarian aid programs to re-build Iraq and Afghanistan. Andrea then led the communication campaign for the Save Darfur advocacy movement to stop the genocide in Sudan.
With an obsession for growing careers, Andrea founded FutureFitCo in 2012. She is the author of the book Future Fit: How to Stay Relevant and Competitive in the Future of Work – a finalist in the Australian Career Book Awards 2019, winner of the Australian Business Book of the Year 2019 and finalist in the UK Business Book Awards 2020.
1PM: A Bondy’s DNA
Bond isn’t like other universities – as the #1 university in Australia for student experience, being a ‘Bondy’ is undeniably unique. But what actually sets our students apart from the rest? What makes their journeys through university special?
Open Day MC and Bond alumnus Nic O’Hara-Boyd sits down with some current students to chat all things life and study at Bond. Hear their experiences and discover the things they’ve learned along the way.
1.30PM: A different way of learning
Finally, in our last keynote talk, we hand over the mic to Professor Jeffrey Brand, Associate Dean, Learning & Teaching at Bond’s Faculty of Society & Design. Bond has consistently topped the list for learner engagement for many years, even amidst a global pandemic and a transition to remote and multi-modal delivery.
Professor Brand illuminates Bond’s approach to learning and teaching, and discusses how a focus on personalised attention, small class sizes and low student-teacher ratios can empower students to take charge of their futures.
