Breakers Colts through to preliminary finals

Great win yesterday by the Bond University Breakers Colts team defeating Souths 17 to 14 in the minor semi final.

As the score line suggests it was a closely contested match with the Breakers up 14 nil at half time as a result of tries to both Lachlan Harris and Lachy Duncan with Duncan converting both tries.

Never to be beaten easily, Souths came back hard in the 2nd half to level the score 14 all with 10 minutes to go. It was a penalty kick to Duncan in the last 5 minutes that brought it home for the Breakers.

The Colts now go on to play Brothers this Sunday, September 1 in the prelim final on Ballymore #1 field at 1.20 pm.

We wish them good luck!
