About the Position:  

Bond University is looking for an experienced fundraising professional, to join a small team responsible for the delivery of the University’s fundraising and development plans. 

 

The Development Officer will manage a portfolio of relationships across a range of Alumni, individuals, sponsors, corporations, and trusts and foundations, supporting proactive cultivation and stewardship plans.

 

A typical day in this role will include making phone calls, asking for donations, preparing proposals and Case for Support materials, coordinating appeals, organising events and seeking new opportunities. 

 

About the person

The successful candidate will be an experienced fundraiser, with an understanding of technical fundraising who can support the delivery of tangible results in this diverse and exciting role. 

 

Candidates will have the following:

  • A relevant university degree or equivalent experience;
  • Achievements in the area of fundraising / philanthropy / sponsorship;
  • Experience in preparation of letters and documents used for approaching prospective supporters;
  • Experience in supporting prospect cultivation and stewardship plans;
  • Ability to interrogate and manage databases, as well as to perform research and identify opportunities;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Excellent writing, transcription, editing and proofreading skills;
  • An understanding of and commitment to the FIA Code.


It is desirable that candidates have:

  • Experience in a Higher Education environment;
  • Knowledge of Raisers Edge/CRM systems;
  • Membership of FIA.

 

Salary details

The salary for the position commences at $80,787.14 plus 12% superannuation per annum.

 

Please note: The fixed term of this employment contract will be for up to two years, with twelve months' probation. The prospect of conversion to a continuing employment contract will be discussed at the end of the contract term.
