About the Position

Reporting into the Head of Institutional Partnerships, The Student Exchange Officer coordinates global study opportunities for Bond University students. This role involves advising students on exchange and short-term study options, managing program requirements, and overseeing funding opportunities like the Bond University Travel Grants and external funding opportunities including the New Colombo Plan (NCP).

Key duties include providing guidance on international study programs, managing exchange processes, and ensuring compliance with relevant policies. This role also collaborates with university departments, maintains program information, and supports efforts to increase student participation in global opportunities.

About the person

The ideal applicant will have:

  • Completed a relevant degree or equivalent experience in a university or policy-related environment.
  • A strong commitment to client service with the ability to build relationships and provide effective advice to diverse stakeholders.
  • A passion for supporting students in their options to enhance their Bond studies through an international study experience.
  • High-level experience with computer applications, including CRM systems, email, and web technologies.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication abilities, with a focus on accuracy, attention to detail and effective presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to prioritise tasks, manage deadlines, and work efficiently under pressure.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both collaboratively in a team and independently, applying relevant policies and procedures effectively.

Previous participation or experience with outbound student exchange programs, international experiences and/or government funding systems would be advantageous. 

Salary details

The salary for the position commences at $80,787.14 per annum, plus 12% superannuation.
