Assistant Professor or Senior Teaching Fellow โ€“ Nutrition and Dietetics

About the position

The Faculty of Health Sciences and Medicine invites applications from qualified candidates interested in joining the Nutrition and Dietetics discipline as an Assistant Professor or Senior Teaching Fellow on a full-time basis. The Position will contribute to the discipline through delivering high quality learning and research experiences for students in the Master of Nutrition and Dietetic Practice Program as well as community engagement. The Assistant Professor position is also expected to conduct research either individually or in collaboration with other staff members. Responsibilities of the position will be aligned to the expertise of the successful candidate. The Master of Nutrition and Dietetic Practice program is accredited by Dietitians Australia and the Accreditation Council of Education in Nutrition and Dietetics. As such the successful candidate will be required to provide leadership within the program aligned with developing essential skills for nutrition and dietetic students. 

About the person

The successful candidate will be an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) or be eligible for accreditation as a Nutritionist and/or Dietitian in Australia. 

For appointment at Assistant Professor level, the candidate will also typically hold a Doctoral qualification with research interests synergistic with those existing within the discipline. They will have a track record of effective teaching, learning, research and academic administration within the higher education sector. Advanced Accredited Practicing Dietitian (AdvAPD) recognition is desirable.

The Selection Panel will determine the academic rank of appointment.

Salary details

The salary for the Assistant Professor B position commences at $124,516.38 (Full Time Equivalent) plus 10.5% superannuation per annum. 

The salary for the Senior Teaching Fellow position commences at $99,815.04 (Full Time Equivalent) plus 10.5% superannuation per annum. 

This position will be based at our main campus in Robina until September 2023 at which time it will relocate to the Bond Institute of Health and Sport, Robina. 

Salary will be negotiated and commensurate with skills and experience. Salary packaging options are available.
