About the position
An outstanding opportunity has arisen to join the Office of Facilities Management in a newly created position - Estate and Projects Manager.
This position will an integral element in our high-performing team, dedicated to ensuring our students have the very best study, sports, and well-being facilities, underpinning Bond University as Australia's number one university for student experience.
The Estate and Projects Manager will work closely with the Director, maintaining the University campus to the highest possible standards and ensuring our facilities are well presented always with the student experience front of mind.
Key Accountabilities for this position: As a senior manager within the team, the Estate and Projects Manager will be:
• Responsible for the upkeep, enhancement, and presentation of Bonds' built environment assets
• Managing day-to-day workload and responsibilities for both Facilities Management staff members and contracted on-site staff
• Reviewing and negotiating scopes of work documentation for best outcomes
• Overseeing minor building projects, asset condition assessments, and repairs and maintenance
• Implementing preventative and condition-based maintenance and establishing appropriate asset replacement timelines
• Ensuring the safety and amenity of all campus occupants is considered prior to and maintained throughout the delivery of all works
• Applying strategic budgetary planning by developing life cycle modelling, minor project planning, and forecasting repairs and maintenance
About the person
What we are looking for in the successful candidate:

- A degree in a relevant field or equivalent in experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of Facilities Management, Asset Management, Project Management, Contract Administration, Sustainability, WH&S, and systems
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to be proactive and possess a high level of interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to be self-directed with high organisational and planning skills, project management experience, and ability to manage multiple tasks to achieve project outcomes
- Excellent written and interpersonal skills.

The salary range for this position will be negotiated commensurate with skills and experience. Salary packaging options are available for eligible employees.
