The Industry Support Officer will provide vital administrative support to the Business Development Team, overseeing the management of internship and work experience placements for students. This includes assisting with the promotion and placement of students into opportunities, while maintaining strong relationships with Bond University students, industry contacts, and stakeholders across various faculties and schools.
This position reports to the National Business Development Manager. The position is expected to work closely with all internal and external stakeholders.
About the person
The ideal candidate will be a proactive, organised and client‑focused professional with strong administrative experience and a commitment to supporting student success. To excel in this role, you will have:
- A relevant tertiary qualification (Certificate II or above) in business, administration, HR or a related field, with at least 3 years’ experience in administrative support within recruitment, employment or office environments.
- Strong client service skills, with the ability to respond to complex enquiries, offer accurate guidance on Career Development Centre processes, and manage culturally sensitive or challenging situations with professionalism.
- High‑level administrative and organisational skills, including the ability to manage competing priorities, maintain accurate records, and contribute to continuous improvement of systems and processes.
- Excellent attention to detail, verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to prepare and follow up documentation for students and external stakeholders.
- Advanced technical proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and online systems.
- An understanding of University policies, procedures and academic processes, with awareness of welfare and equity considerations for a diverse student body.
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment, demonstrating initiative, adaptability and a solutions‑focused approach to problem solving.
Desirable attributes include experience in a tertiary or large organisation, an understanding of recruitment processes, and knowledge of university systems—or the ability to learn them quickly.
Salary details
The salary for the full-time position commences as $71, 938.46 per annum, plus 12% superannuation.
Due to the nature of the position as a parental leave backfill it may be necessary to vacate the position earlier than the expected date. The Employee will be advised by the giving of 4 weeks’ notice should the term of employment change.
