As a member of the Information Resources team in Library Services, this role is responsible for acquiring, cataloguing, and processing print and digital resources for the Library collection. 

 

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Providing frontline library and customer support services.
  • Ensuring accurate data entry and adherence to library policies and procedures.
  • Supporting the delivery of quality customer service across all library functions.

 

About the person

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced person who possess the following skills and experience:

  • Certificate IV or Diploma in Library and Information Studies, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong skills in library technologies, computer applications, and library management systems.
  • Excellent customer service skills, combined with professionalism and responsiveness.
  • Accurate data entry skills and ability to apply judgment within policy guidelines.
  • Effective oral and written communication, demonstrating respect and confidentiality.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team, support others, and resolve conflict.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with capacity to manage priorities and meet deadlines.

 

Desirable: Experience with bibliographic records, tertiary library services, and knowledge of the Library of Congress Classification Scheme.

 

Salary details

The salary for this 0.5442 position commences at $39,148.91 per annum (Full-time Equivalent is $71,938.46 per annum) plus 12% superannuation per annum.
