CHNL11-111: Chinese in Business and Media

Description

Chinese in Business and Media is designed for students who have completed Chinese Language and Culture or equivalent subjects. The aim of this subject is to further develop your awareness and understanding of Chinese speaking societies and cultures, focusing on the Chinese business and media. Using a content and language integrated approach, the subject enhances your pre-intermediate communicative competence in the Mandarin Chinese language.

Learning outcomes

1. Identify, analyse, evaluate and communicate with the pre-intermediate proficiency level of Chinese language and transmit broad theoretical knowledge about its use in the Chinese Business and Media. 2. Independently and in teams, generate and transmit solutions to unpredictable and sometimes complex problems related to the use of the Chinese language in Business and Media. 3. Apply knowledge and understanding of the Chinese language in Business and Media to professional work and/or further learning, demonstrating well-developed judgement and responsibility.
