Teacher Professional Development Sessions

AI in education - Empowering tomorrow's educators

Bond University is proud to support the Gold Coast Secondary Principals Alliance by offering an exclusive two-part professional development series in 2025. Designed specifically for secondary educators, these sessions delve into the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence in education.

SESSION 1:  Safeguarding Student Learning in an AI World

As artificial intelligence reshapes educational landscapes, educators find themselves navigating uncharted waters where traditional teaching approaches meet transformative technology. This session explores the critical role educators play as guardians of authentic learning in an AI-saturated world, balancing innovation with academic integrity.

Drawing on recent educational research, including Harvard Graduate School of Education studies on teen AI perspectives and institutional surveys showing 95% of students now use AI tools, we'll examine how young people are engaging with AI and their expectations of educational responses.

Date: Tuesday, 12 August, 2025

Time: 3:30pm - 5:30pm

Location: Bond University, University Drive, Robina

Registrations for Session 1 have now closed.
