Bond Business School HDR Symposium

This interactive Symposium offered insight into the research conducted by HDR students in the Bond Business School. Presentations were followed by the opportunity for discussion and Q&A.

Symposium Facilitators:

Dr Alex Acheampong

Dr. Alex Acheampong is an Assistant Professor of Economics at Bond Business School and a globally recognized researcher in applied economics. He is ranked among the top 2% of global scientists by Stanford University and is also listed among the top 200 young economists worldwide by Research Papers in Economics (RePEc). He has authored over 60 peer-reviewed journal articles, with more than 85% of these publications appearing in the Australian Business Dean Council (ABDC) A*/A-ranked and Scimago Q1-ranked Journals. He is an Associate Editor for Energy Economics and the Journal of Public Affairs.

 

Belinda Barton

 

 

Dr. Belinda Barton is Assistant Professor of Marketing at Bond Business School. Belinda’s research interests are broadly focussed on consumer wellbeing as an outcome of consumption. Belinda uses experimental research approaches, as well as meta-analysis to synthesize literature and explore generalizability and moderating effects of existing research findings. Belinda’s research has been published in Journal of Retailing, Journal of Public Policy and Marketing, and Health Promotion International.

 

 

 

 

 

Catharina Jecklin

Dr. Catharina Jecklin is a Post-doctorial Research Fellow in Entrepenureship at Bond Business School.  Her research investigates the role of trust and alignment within, between, and among teams of decision-making teams in the family business context, and the subsequent impact on economic and social performance. Catharina has a dual background in business administration (MBA, Bond) and pedagogy. Before joining Bond she gained broad practical experience in management positions in her home country, Switzerland.

Dr. James Todd is an Assistant Professor of Data Analytics at Bond Business School.  As part of the Centre for Data Analytics, his research focuses on the application of advanced statistical, machine learning, and deep learning techniques to translate large and varied data sources into insights supporting organisational decision-making. His work has been published in journals such as Decision Support Systems, Big Data Research, and International Journal of Medical Informatics.
