Bond University Faculty of Law invites you to attend the event ‘In Honour of Professor John Farrar and the late Professor Denis Ong’.

Please join us to formally launch the Festschrift in honour of Professor John Farrar and the Special Issue of the Bond Law Review in honour of the late Professor Denis Ong.

Professor John Farrar’s career has spanned three jurisdictions — Australia, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom. He is a leading scholar in the area of corporate law and jurisprudence and has produced a long list of stellar publications across his career. He has served as Dean of three law schools — Waikato University, the University of Canterbury and Bond University — as well as acting Vice-Chancellor at Bond University. His colleagues in the Faculty have valued his generous mentoring over many years.

The late Professor Denis Ong will be remembered for his in-depth knowledge of equity and his many impressive publications on equity and trusts.  Prof Ong was a legendary figure on the Bond campus and is fondly remembered by the many students that he introduced to complex concepts, not just for his expertise, but also for his high standards and friendliness.

The event will be held at the University Club (Building 6, Level 3) on Wednesday, 6 March, 2024 from 4.30pm-7.30pm. Registration begins at 4.30pm for a 5 pm start, followed by refreshments from 6.30pm.
