Presented as part of Bond University’s Twilight Open Day.
Electrik Lemonade are 9 individuals united by the cosmic collective boogie. They are renowned for their energetic, visual and super fun live shows, which feature a repertoire of original energetic funk and hip-hop tunes, infused with blues, soul, and electronic elements. Think Jamiroquai + Skunkhour but with their own unique blend merging disco, soul, funk and hip-hop rhythms with some rap vocals.
Electrik Lemonade debuted in 2010 and have subsequently gone gangbusters, being Unearthed on Triple J, playing on Channel 7’s Weekend Sunrise, Channel 10’s The 7pm Project, featured artist on Toasted TV, airplay in Europe, Asia and North America, and playing a plethora of festival gigs including locally at Surfers Paradise Live, Miami Marketta, Night Quarter, The Arts Centre Gold Coast, and the Gold Coast Music Awards. They’ve also performed alongside Australian music icons such as The Black Sorrows, Ross Wilson and Ian Moss.
Supporting performances to be advised – the afternoon will feature a showcase of talented students from local high schools from 3pm plus DJ Nova between sets. The full concert program will be added soon.
Electrik Lemonade will to the stage around 6:30pm as the sun sets on Bond University’s Twilight Open Day. The Open Day program features campus tours, installations, workshops, street food, bars and other live entertainment and more, opening from 2pm.
