Study tour programs

Overview

Bond University College welcomes educational and professional study groups for a range of short-term programs and study tours. Students will have the opportunity to study on our beautiful campus and explore everything that the Gold Coast has to offer.

Our students are exposed to immersive and practical English courses in a warm and supportive environment. Students can also complete the Future Global Leaders Study Tour, focused on leadership, sustainability, and team dynamics in a global context.

The study tour provides students with an authentic Australian study experience, with activities for students to learn about Australian culture, wildlife, and sport. Students will also be able to access all the Bond facilities and will have the opportunity to join the clubs and societies at Bond.

Students have the opportunity to stay with host families for the duration of their study tour at Bond. This arrangement helps students to be immersed in Australian culture and practice their English in a friendly and nurturing environment.

English Study Tour (4-Week Program)

The Bond University College English Portfolio Program provides a unique, accelerated learning experience. With guidance, students will identify a specific macro-skill to focus on over the four-week program – speaking, listening, reading, or writing.

For example, students who may lack confidence and exposure to speaking will be challenged with authentic speaking tasks and contexts such as debates, presentations, and tutorial discussions. Alternatively, those seeking to become more comfortable with academic writing will receive intensive coaching, techniques and tips to boost accuracy and fluency with written output.

The personalised nature of this program allows students to take control of their studies and direct their focus. In just four weeks, students can observe measurable, meaningful improvement.

Future Global Leaders Study Tour (4-Week Program)

In an increasingly globalising world, humans are facing unprecedented international challenges. The Future Global Leaders short-term study tour provides students with the opportunity to develop essential transferable skills, including collaboration, problem-solving, and effective communication, to address global problems.

In this four-week program, students will undertake short courses in entrepreneurship, personal development, innovation, communication, journalism, and leadership. The participants will have the opportunity to experience University classes through faculty-specific seminars. Students will explore the picturesque Gold Coast and study alongside university students in this once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Students participating in the Future Global Leaders program will complete a capstone project during their program. The students will select a Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) and identify the challenge the SDG addresses. Then, students will work collaboratively to conceptualise a solution to the challenge that directly supports the SDG. Students will improve their English in a welcoming environment and experience the best of Bond University.

At Bond University, our distinguished academics lead their fields in ground-breaking research. The Future Global Leaders study tour can be tailored to provide University Experience sessions tailored to the program’s focus on solving global challenges. Alongside the Future Global Leaders curriculum, these experience sessions will allow students to take a multidisciplinary approach to problem-solving and ensure students are exposed to all facets of the University.

English Study Tour (10-Week Program)

Bond University College offers a ten-week academic English program to students looking to improve their English and academic skills in an authentic university environment. These skills include reading, writing, listening, and speaking (including pronunciation) as well as critical thinking and research skills. The program will also help students become more competent with the technology and IT programs used at Bond, and more comfortable with the interactive, discussion-based style of learning practiced at Australian universities.

Students will be integrated into the English program and have the opportunity to study alongside and collaborate with students from all over the world. There are a range of English language classes available at different levels to suit their language abilities.
