Meet your 2022 Virtual Open Day hosts

Virtual Open Day is the perfect opportunity to get to know Bond University from anywhere in the world. Tune in on Saturday, 14 May from 2pm AEST to explore our study areas, dive deep into our student experience, and meet some students, staff and alumni along the way.

Amongst all of the action on the day, you'll be guided through your sneak peek into Bond by four knowledgeable hosts. Let's meet them and learn more about the exceptional people who will serve as your official Bond 'tour guides'...

Candice Dixon

Candice is an Australian television host, journalist and actor. During her travels, Candice has interviewed the likes of Hugh Jackman, Owen Wilson, Ben Stiller, Rebel Wilson, Ricky Gervais and Margot Robbie. She completed a Bachelor of Communication at Bond where she majored in journalism.

As a Bondy, Candice loves the global feel of the University, and the opportunities she's had to learn from and work with people from all over the world. Alongside her successful career in media, she is the founder of Koala Cure, an e-commerce business directly benefiting the endangered koala population in Australia.

Austin Macfarlane

Austin began his filmmaking journey at the age of 12 when he first picked up a camera to make a backyard movie with his brother.

What first began as a weekend hobby eventually led to his short films being screened across Australia. In 2019, Austin was fortunate enough to be awarded the Best Overall Filmmaker Award at the Bond University Film and Television Awards (BUFTA), where he received a full scholarship to study a Bachelor of Film & Television at Bond University. Alongside likeminded passionate filmmakers, he was able to further develop his skills and deepen his love for filmmaking over the two-year course.

Sean Johnson

Sean has worked with Bond for more than nine years. In his current role as a Domestic Regional Manager, he has guided hundreds of students through their journeys to studying at Bond and beyond. Sean is originally from the United States, has a degree in exercise and sports science, and is an accomplished collegiate athlete. He also recently completed his Graduate Certificate in Business at Bond University.

Jamie Endelman

Jamie moved to the Gold Coast from Sydney shortly after high school and completed his Bachelor of Business at Bond, before relocating to work in the Philippines for five years. He then returned home to Australia, and for the past six years, has been working as a Domestic Regional Manager for the University. Jamie enjoys guiding students and families through the university selection process, and ensuring their pathway to Bond is a seamless one.
