The opposition:
We can’t expect we will get the same game we had last time we played Wilston Grange. They have been in great form this year and beat Coorparoo the week before we lost to them, so it is going to be a challenge.
On reflection:
We reviewed our performance against Coorparoo last week quite honestly and quite harshly around what we didn’t do well. It was a tough session that became a really good moment for us. We trained really well afterwards, I feel like it was the best session we have had all year off the back of that review.
Where it will be won:
It is more about the attitude. We identified that we still did somethings right against Coorparoo, but we were five per cent off in some of our effort and also some of our compliance to our structures and that cost us. We have to play with 100 per cent commitment and discipline because we have learnt what the outcome from the slightest lapse can be.
Ones to watch:
Courtney Sexton in the midfield, Ella Calleja across half forward and then Jemma Blair who is having a terrific season across half back. They are our generals and I feel they are the ones who can really ignite us.
Final message:
This is an opportunity to redeem ourselves after a lacklustre performance against Coorparoo.

The opposition:
Historically Coomera have been really hard and tough and they were pretty tight games the two times we played them last year. They play a dour dogged style of game, an inside shut down type of game. They seem to have lost a bit of top end talent, but they are still very physical and very competitive with their ability to win contested ball.
Where it will be won:
We have to back up on contested ball and our ball movement patterns last week were a little bit disjointed. Being able to get the ball to the outside and run and overlap has been shown to be the way to beat Coomera this year so that’s out challenge.
One to watch:
I’m really excited about Nick Scott off half back. I think he’s been building really well, and he has been a bit of a general for us off half back. His ball use has really straightened us up. We tended to go wide and lateral and he likes to take the corridor kick so I’m excited to see how he grows throughout the year because he can change the way we play.
The focus:
The challenge is for us to put together our contested ball and our stoppage work and connect it with our outside ball movement. That’s what we are chasing, and we haven’t got there yet, we are still trying to connect the dots.
Final message:
We have to believe in our system and play to our style of footy and not be drawn into their style.
