About the Position
Situated within the Faculty of Health Sciences and Medicine, the Bond University Medical Program comprises two sequential degrees, the Bachelor of Medical Studies and the Doctor of Medicine. The program has full accreditation with the Australian Medical Council and strongly emphasises the quality of the student experience.
The successful applicant will be responsible for both leading and teaching Year 3 Clinical Practice. They will also undertake curriculum development, with appropriate research commitment to support program needs.
About the person
The successful candidate will have current registration with AHPRA as a medical practitioner in Australia. A PhD or other post-graduate qualification in a relevant field is normally required, however exceptions to degree requirements will be made for individuals with substantial professional competence and clinical skills and experience.
They will have a track record of effective teaching and academic administration of clinical skills within a medical education context and developing experience in relevant research supported by strong evidence of scholarship. They will have high order communication skills and the ability to work in teams with academics from multiple disciplines.
Salary details
The salary details for these positions are outlined below. Salary packaging options are available for eligible employees, and a clinical loading may be applied as appropriate.
- Assistant Professor (Level A) remuneration commences at $154,787 (FTE) per annum, plus 11.5% superannuation.
- Assistant Professor (Level B) remuneration commences at $130,234 (FTE) per annum, plus 11.5% superannuation.
The Selection Panel will make the determination for the level of appointment based on skills, qualifications and experience.
