About the Position

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Events Administration Officer to provide comprehensive administrative support to the Events General Manager and Events Team.

The ideal candidate will be proficient in multitasking, exceptional communication skills, and a detail-oriented approach to manage a variety of administrative and finance functions effectively.

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Providing administrative support for event related duties to include confirmation of event details, compilation of event agreements, processing event finances, reporting and office management.
  • Assisting and supporting the procurement and management of the merchandise portfolio, dispatch of orders, monitoring stock levels, procurement of new products.
  • Monitoring the generic email inbox and manage event requests and bookings.
  • Managing incoming calls and enquires on central phone line.
  • Coordinating reports, documentation and follow-ups from meetings
  • Raising purchase orders and follow up on POs/invoices.
  • Handling expense claims and reconcile credit card transactions.

About the person

The ideal applicant will have:

  • Proven experience in an administrative support role, ideally with exposure to events and the hospitality industry in addition to finance and office management functions. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
  • Experience with event/venue management software will be highly regarded. 

Salary details

The salary for the position commences at $ 69,843.17 per annum, plus 12% superannuation. Applications will also be considered from candidates seeking a part-time appointment at a minimum 0.8 FTE, salary pro-rata based on FTE.

Please note: The fixed term of this employment contract will be for up to two years, with twelve months' probation. The prospect of conversion to a continuing employment contract will be discussed at the end of the contract term.
