Borrow books and more - straight from the shelf with MyBond App

Bond University Library has launched a new self-service borrowing feature that makes checking out items easier than ever for students and staff.

Whether you're grabbing a textbook, a board game for a study break, or something fun to read, you can now borrow items directly from the shelf using the MyBond app—no need to wait in line or visit the service desk.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Download the MyBond app
If you haven’t already, install the app on your phone or tablet. It’s your portal to Bond tools, services, and software.
  2. Choose your items
Head to the Main Library or Law Library and browse the shelves. You can use Library Search or collection maps to find what you need.
  3. Tap Borrow from the Library
Open the app, sign in, and look for the tile with the barcode icon.
  4. Scan the barcode
Allow the app to use your camera, then scan the barcode on the front cover of the item. You can also type it in manually if you're using a laptop.

The app will confirm your loan and let you scan more items or view your current loans (up to 10 recent ones).

Why you will love it

Fast and flexible: Borrow items anytime the Library is open.
No queues or stairs: Skip the service desks and go straight to scanning.
More than just books: Board games and other resources can be borrowed too.

This feature is available exclusively to current Bond students and staff.
