Register

Bond University Library is proud to host a special poetry reading event in celebration of NAIDOC Week, spotlighting the powerful and diverse voices of First Nations poets.

Inspired by this year’s NAIDOC Week theme, The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy, the Library invites students and staff to engage with the rich literary traditions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander authors. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore the library’s collection of Indigenous literature and reflect on the enduring legacy of First Nations storytelling.

Highlights:

  • Live readings of First Nations authors' poetry
  • Exploration of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander book collection
  • Light snacks provided (BYO lunch welcome)

Bond University remains committed to reconciliation and acknowledges the Kombumerri people, the traditional Owners and Custodians of the land on which the University stands. This event is a meaningful opportunity to honour their stories and celebrate Indigenous culture through the art of poetry.
