Mindfulness Week

By placing your attention on the breath, it is possible to quieten the 'monkey mind', feel a sense of calmness, and improve concentration. Distractions come in many forms. Do not get frustrated or disheartened. This is the nature of the 'monkey mind' and your awareness of this nature is actually a sign of progress. It is not necessary to indulge or repel distractions. Just as they arise in your mind, they will also disappear of their own accord. Simply acknowledge them and return your attention to the breath. Committing to a daily meditation practice could be the best decision that you will ever make.

Start today by trying this short 4 minute meditation “The World is Yours Today”.

Visit the Main Library during week 11 to do some mindful mandala colouring on postcards that you can then send to your friends and family.
