Externally commissioned research
At the Institute for Evidence-Based Healthcare, we pride ourselves on our reputation for producing outstanding health and medical research both domestically and internationally. Over the past 5 years, our team has secured over $30 million in grant funding (including leadership fellowships centres for research excellence and Medical Research Future Fund) and have published 500 peer-reviewed research articles. This includes over 130 reviews, more than 50 surveys, and participation in numerous clinical trials both in Australia and overseas.
We are also proud to lead the Australasian EQUATOR Centre (Enhancing the QUAlity and Transparency Of health Research), one of only five centres globally dedicated to developing and disseminating research reporting guidelines.
Contracted Research
Our institute has successfully completed a wide range of contracted work for prestigious organisations such as the World Health Organisation, the National Heart Foundation, the National Health and Medical Research Council, the Agency for Clinical Innovation, the Sax Institute, and the Department of Health and Aged Care (including the recent Review of Telehealth in primary care), among many others.
