The property sector is Australia’s largest industry and second largest employer. Fulfilling the residential and non-residential needs of Australia continues to remain a priority and requires employers to hire graduates with the capabilities and skills to work in a dynamic and unpredictable market. Outcomes

Certified property valuer

Property Valuers are responsible for assessing the value of residential, industrial, or commercial properties. Property Valuers may also be Assessors, who value properties for government tax purposes. Assessors often value an entire neighbourhood or land area at once by using mass appraisal techniques and computer-assisted appraisal systems. Project 1.8% job growth in the next 5 years. The median annual salary in AUS is $130k as at November 2021 on Seek (2021).

Valuation manager

Provides valuation opinions and advice in situations of strategic change and commercial importance. Assist clients in managing and reporting on value for a variety of purposes, including mergers & acquisitions, strategy selection, financial reporting, tax, and litigation. Can include valuation of enterprises, shares, and intangible assets (such as technology and brands) across all industries. The median annual salary in AUS is $70k-$130k as at November 2021 on Seek (2021).

Project manager

Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, resources, risks, procurement, communications, stakeholder relations, and project integration management to deliver successful projects. Projected 6.1% job growth in the next 5 years* and median salary of between $120k and $200k as at November 2021on Seek (2021).

Valuation and property development accreditation

Bond’s Master of Valuation and Property Development is professionally recognised by some of Australia’s leading industry bodies.

Students graduating with a Master of Valuation and Property Development are internationally recognised by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).

Students with a related undergraduate degree or complete the relevant Property Valuation subjects as electives may qualify for registration with the Australian Property Institute (API) as a Certified Practising Valuer with the Valuers Registration Board of Queensland (VRBQ) and New South Wales Fair Trading (NSWFT) - conditional on meeting professional practice requirements.

Project management accreditation

Bond University is the only university in Australia with programs recognised by all three of the following industry bodies including Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM), Project Management Institute Global Accreditation Centre (PIM-GAC), and Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
