ADCO x Bond Mentor Excellence Program

Bond University and ADCO Constructions are proud to announce the launch of our Mentor Excellence Program, a groundbreaking initiative aimed at celebrating and strengthening the invaluable industry connections between academia and the construction sector.

This partnership provides undergraduate and postgraduate construction students in the Faculty of Society & Design with the unique opportunity to connect with industry professionals and start building valuable networks. This exposure to the industry aims to spark a connection between Bond students with ADCO representatives, faculty members, and fellow students who share a passion for construction.

The ADCO Constructions x Bond University Mentor Excellence Program held its official launch event in October 2023 and has now formally commenced mentor/mentee intakes. Students who complete the program will receive an ADCO Mentor Excellence Program certificate upon graduating. We look forward to witnessing the transformative impact of this program on our students’ academic journey and professional development.

ADCO Constructions has also made a significant contribution to this program by generously supplying Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), for all newly commencing construction students at Bond University. These valuable resources, alongside the mentoring program, will play a pivotal role in enhancing our students’ learning experiences through fieldwork and preparing them for successful careers in the construction industry.

Bond is proud to be part of an initiative that unites education and industry, offering valuable mentorship opportunities and unique insights.

Testimonials

  • ADCO Constructions Company

We’re very excited about this partnership and the potential value of connecting students with mentors.  Having a mentor, someone who can provide advice and guidance is not just valuable in your university years but after you graduate and throughout your career. I’m still mentoring people now both inside and outside of the business and the opportunities that it can provide are endless.

Michael Rinaudo - ADCO Queensland State Manager
  • Associate Professor

You can’t buy that exposure and experience that this program will offer. I can’t encourage students strongly enough to apply to be part of this program and to get as much as they possibly can from it. We want to provide transformational experiences to our students and let them be able to feel and see and touch how things happen in the industry, not just by learning in class. Opportunities like this make such a difference to our students’ experiences and I really want to thank ADCO for their willingness to enable this.

Dr Dane Miller - Discipline Lead (Construction)

This partnership was another example of Bond collaborating with industry to ensure students are well equipped for the workplace.
