The subject International Sport Business will determine and examine the various segments that constitute the international sport business industry. It will analyse the similarities and differences between industry sectors and critically evaluate the nature and the role of the sport industry as a product and service provider. In the process the theoretical underpinnings of sport industry practices and decision making will be determined and discerned This subject content focuses on the role and impact of, corporations and changing technologies on the development and provision of sport at both the elite and mass level; government involvement in sport; sport lobbying; multi-national sport organisations and the sporting goods industry, and the future of sport in terms of environmental, social and economic sustainability.
