MGMT13-320: Ethical and Responsible Leadership

Description

This advanced undergraduate subject is designed to take a practical approach to help students become more self-aware of their leadership capabilities and to develop as effective leaders. Beginning with a critical examination of leadership theories, students will consider the assumptions, strengths, and weaknesses of each and their implications for the practice of leadership. The insights from these various perspectives will be integrated around some of the fundamentals of leadership (e.g., providing a compelling direction, building relationships with followers, and adapting to and shaping the situation or context) to consider the importance of ethics, responsibility, and sustainability. Drawing on their insights developed throughout the semester, students will articulate their personal leadership approach and create a plan for their continued leadership development.
