This subject can only be taken as part of the Japanese Language (JPNL) major and ONLY as part of a semester abroad. JPNL13-300 Japanese Language 5 and JPNL13-310 Japanese Language 6 must be taken together. It is expected that the structured learning requirements of these subjects combined should total a minimum of 90 hours and must be taught in Japanese. The intent of these subjects is for students to experience Japanese life and be fully immersed into the language and cultural environment. Students will be provided the opportunity to immediately put into practice what has been learned in the language classroom through authentic daily practice and activities.

1. Students will learn to handle advanced honorific and humble expressions and wordprocess both hiragana & katakana scripts, and about 350-500 kanji characters.
Co requisite: JPNL13-300 Japanese Language 5.
