Description

This subject introduces you to the history, structure, development and world view of the United Nations (UN). The subject analyses the UN as the centre of world diplomacy as well as a supranational human rights and welfare agency. Engaging in this subject's unique activities will expand your  understanding of the intricate makeup and limitations of an organisation designed to ‘save succeeding generations from the scourge of war’. You will explore a range of topics including the embrace of international organisations, the structure of the United Nations, international Peacekeeping, human rights, and international development.
