This subject is designed to develop an understanding of the value of economic reasoning in solving business problems and to develop the basic economic analytical skills required in managerial decision making.

1. Identify and develop economic way of thinking as they apply to the individual consumer, the individual firm and government decision making. 2. Use economic models to analyse a situation in terms of economics. 3. Relate the basic theory of economic theory and principles to current microeconomic issues and evaluate related public policy. 4. Make informed and critical assessment and criticism of the public debate on many economic policy issues.
Must be admitted into an MBA Affiliated Program.
This subject is not available as a general elective. To be eligible for enrolment, the subject must be specified in the students’ program structure.
