ARCH11-116: Architecture Study Tour

Description

This subject complements the on-campus architecture subjects by providing direct personal experiences of built environments, which is an integral part of architectural education and a major way of learning to understand architecture as well as other related design fields. The goal of this subject is to provide the students with opportunities to experience buildings in their context, meet architectural practitioners, visit other architecture programs, and engage in other off-campus activities both nationally and internationally. The visited sites, including traditional and contemporary buildings, provide a broad overview of world architecture in order to support the undergraduate architecture curriculum and inspire design excellence. Students are responsible to fund their travel and associated tour costs individually, this is not included in the standard subject fee.
