Ethics Application Process
All researchers are strongly advised to consult the relevant sections of the National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research (National Statement) while compiling their ethics applications. Guidance is also available on specific issues within the application form. The new BUREM booklets offer a range of guidance: from how to understand and apply general principles, to targeted advice about how specific issues may be resolved.
- If you have queries or concerns about how best to proceed, contact Research Ethics Manager.
- Researchers from the Faculty of Health Sciences and Medicine can approach their Research Ethics Advisor for help and advice on preparing an ethics application for review.
Applications from Bond staff and students are automatically directed to their Associate Dean of Research (ADR) for Faculty approval, before being sent to the Ethics Manager. The submission deadlines allow your ADR a week to review applications - please request permission for a late submission from ADR, and advise Research Ethics Manager that you wish application to be included in the upcoming meeting.
