Centre for Professional Legal Education programs

The Centre delivers legal training programs in two categories: professional legal training (PLT) programs and advanced legal training (ALT) programs.

The Centre's training arm together with its research and scholarship arm ensure that the theoretical work generated by the Centre can be applied immediately in practice and that the instructors engaging in professional legal training and advanced legal training are supported by a community of legal education scholars.

Masterclasses

Each semester the Centre offers a small number of Masterclasses to legal practitioners.

Commencing in September 2017, the Centre will be offering a Masterclass in Technology and Legal Practice. The Masterclass will be delivered as a two day intensive workshop and a series of four online learning modules. The conference style workshop will be held on Friday 20th and Saturday 21st October 2017 in the Faculty of Law Boardroom at Bond University. The workshop will include guest speakers from the legal profession, startups, venture capital funds and the technology industry.

The coordinator and guest speakers will lead discussions about the actual and potential impacts of the latest technological innovations upon contemporary legal practice.

The Masterclass is the equivalent of a full Master’s level subject and can be taken as a standalone course or later applied towards completion of a Master of Laws at Bond University. Legal practitioners are eligible for up to 5 CPD points for completion of the Masterclass.
