Centre for Professional Legal Education: Community services

The Centre for Professional Legal Education is committed to providing members of the public with access to legal and family dispute resolution services while at the same time offering Bond students the opportunity to gain practical experience in a controlled and supportive environment. Two clinics currently operate within the Centre: The Bond Law Clinic and Family Dispute Resolution Clinic.

The Bond Law Clinic was founded in 2013 with the objective to offer a free legal advice service to the public while providing Bond Law students with an opportunity to gain practice experience in a supportive environment. Students are supervised by members of the legal profession who donate their time for the opportunity to engage in a pro bono clinic.

The aim of the Family Dispute Resolution (FDR) Clinic is to provide high quality and comprehensive services that assist families and children to overcome challenges, grow and thrive. We are committed to social justice and inclusion, and respect the rights of all people, in all their diversity, to live with dignity and safety and to enjoy healthy relationships.

The Clinic provides an opportunity for participants in the Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner Accreditation course an opportunity to complete their required hours of supervised workplace experience before applying to FDR accreditation.
