Professional biography

Joseph Crowley practises at the criminal bar in Queensland. He appears in criminal law and in quasi-criminal proceedings. He was instrumental in having the 16 year old murder conviction of Graham Stafford quashed in October 2009. His experience on that case is central to his doctoral thesis on access to justice. Before commencing practise he was Associate to The Honourable Justice Spender of the Federal Court of Australia, His Honour Senior Judge Skoien and his Honour Judge Boyce of the Queensland District Court.
