Professional biography

Dr Ashkan Memari is an experienced lecturer and researcher with an international profile working in different countries, including Iran, Malaysia and Australia. Prior to joining Bond University in 2021, Ashkan worked for several years in various private and public universities as a lecturer or postdoctoral researcher. He taught a wide range of subjects at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Ashkan received his PhD in 2016 from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) with a specialisation in Industrial Engineering and Operations Management.

Ashkan’s scholarly articles mostly appear in well-known ISI web of Science and ABDC ranked journals such as Computers & Industrial Engineering (A in ABDC ranking, Q1 in Scopus and ISI WOS) and Manufacturing Systems (B in ABDC ranking, Q1 in Scopus and ISI WOS) etc. He has published more than 20 articles in reputed journals and international conferences, where they have been cited many times in various research papers. His research interests lie at the intersection of Sustainable Operations Management, Project Management, Optimisation and Multi-Criteria Decision-Making Techniques. Ashkan has been serving as an Academic Editor in the PLOS ONE Journal since 2018.
