Mediation courses

Enhance your professional practice with advanced mediation skills

Our professional and academic microcredential courses in mediation are designed for lawyers and other professionals seeking the knowledge, skills and strategies to conduct mediation and dispute resolution. Delivered by highly experienced and accredited instructors, courses are offered three times a year and delivered online for a flexible and accelerated pathway to National Mediation Accreditation.

Professional courses (not for academic credit)

These short microcredential courses are designed to suit busy professionals who are seeking professional development in mediation, negotiation and conflict resolution, or want to become a nationally accredited mediator through completion of both courses. Each course is delivered via a 5 or 2 day online workshop.

Academic courses (for credit)

These 12-week microcredential courses are components of the Master of Laws in Family Dispute Resolution and suited to both law and non-law graduates who are considering pursuing a postgraduate qualification. You will participate in the professional course workshop (outlined above) and then explore and critically examine the ethical and professional obligations of mediator and professional dispute resolution practitioners, through a research paper and journal. Credits earned from successful completion of these courses can be attributed towards the Master of Laws in Family Dispute Resolution.
