Description

Spanish in Business and Media is designed for students who have completed Spanish Language and Culture or equivalent subjects. The aim of this subject is to further developyour awareness and understanding of Spanish speaking societies and cultures, focusing on the Spanish business and media. Using a content and language integrated approach, the subject enhances students’ pre-intermediate communicative competence in the Spanish language.

Learning outcomes

  1. Identify, analyse, evaluate and communicate with the pre-intermediate proficiency level of the Spanish language and transmit broad theoretical knowledge about its use in the Spanish Business and Media.
  2. Independently and in teams, generate and transmit solutions to unpredictable and sometimes complex problems related to the use of the Spanish language in Business and Media.
  3. Apply the knowledge and understanding of the Spanish language in Business and Media to professional work and/or further learning, demonstrating well-developed judgement and responsibility.

Assumed knowledge:

Assumed knowledge is the minimum level of knowledge of a subject area that students are assumed to have acquired through previous study. It is the responsibility of students to ensure they meet the assumed knowledge expectations of the subject.
