Learning outcomes
- Demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of the operation of the law of employment and in particular the legislative and common law principles and rules relevant to this area of the law.
- Demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of the interrelationship of the legal sources that govern the employment relationship.
- Analyse a problem situation and identify and apply the legal principles and rules relevant to the resolution of the problem situation.
- Demonstrate a high level of achievement in relation to problem solving and legal reasoning skills and the ability to read, understand and navigate legislation relevant to the area of employment law.
- Demonstrate the capacity to undertake advanced level legal research and to write a descriptive but also analytical paper.
- The ability to participate in oral discussion about issues and factual problems.
- Develop good written skills.

Students must be admitted into a Bachelor law degree or Bachelor of Laws combined degree or be an approved Law Study Abroad OR Law exchange student. This subject is not available as a general elective. To be eligible for enrolment, the subject must be specified in the students’ program structure. |
