
Professional biography
Dr Umair Ghori has a background in corporate law practice. He joined Bond University in November 2010 having spent four years at the University of New South Wales as a sessional lecturer (teaching Advanced Legal Research and selected components of International Trade Law). His PhD thesis (completed in 2011) focussed on conducting a comprehensive analysis of international trade policy on global textiles and clothing trade. This thesis was published in the Global Trade Law series of the prestigious European publisher Kluwer Law International in 2012. Dr Ghori's work has been published in well respected peer reviewed journals and edited volumes. His research interests include international trade, business and investment laws, particularly from the perspective of developing countries. He is fluent in Urdu and English.
