Welcome to Bond
You may not be on campus yet, but you are now officially part of the Bond community. We can’t wait to bring Orientation to you – wherever you are in the world.
Orientation is a series of events and activities to introduce you to Bond, your academics, classmates and key support staff. On this page, you will also find lots of resources to help you settle in and start the semester strong, as well as a schedule of events.
If you are physically coming to campus in May, you will need to upload your photo and collect your Student ID card from Student Assist in the Main Library during Orientation.
Plus, join our 212 Bondies Facebook group to meet your fellow students and stay up to date with relevant information for your cohort.

At Bond, we refer to each semester with a three-digit number. This semester is 212. To work out the semester number, take the last two digits of the year (e.g. 2021 - '21') and the number of the semester (we're in semester 2, so use '2'). Next semester is the third semester of 2021, so it will be 213, and the first semester of next year will be 221. Your first lesson as a Bondy, sorted!
Ready for your brand-new email address? If you haven't done so already, make sure you activate your Student IT account! Simply accept the terms and conditions and create a new password - then you will be all set to access your email and our network.
Connect to on-campus WiFi
Once you've activated your IT account, find the BondStudents network on your device and use your Student ID and password to connect.
Need a hand?
Having trouble connecting to the IT Network? Visit Student Assist located in the Main Library (BLD01_2_53) for assistance Monday - Friday between 8.30am and 5pm AEST.

It won’t take long for Bond to feel like home. But, so you can settle in sooner, we’ve got some handy tips and tricks to help you navigate your first week.
Reading room numbers
Bond’s rooms are labelled in the order of building number, then level, then room number. For example, 06_02_01 indicates Building 6, Level 2, Room 1.
Once you know the formula, you’ll never get lost again. Check out the online campus map to see all the building numbers and their locations. Download a printable map here.
MazeMap – your virtual guide
Need directions? There’s an app for that! MazeMap is Bond’s virtual map, where you can find your way around Bond’s main campus and Institute of Health and Sport by simply searching for a location, then selecting ‘directions’. The app will use your current location to guide you to where you need to go.
Download a printable map here.
Feeling lost?
The Orientation Information Hub located near the Main Library will be open from 8.30am - 4.30pm on Tuesday to Friday during O-Week, so please visit the friendly staff and Student Ambassadors if you need assistance. Use this link to find the Info Hub.
If you are attending on-campus classes, you will need to obtain a Student ID card by uploading your photo to the CaptureME portal. You will be notified by email once your photo has been approved and your Student ID card is ready for collection at Student Assist, located in the Main Library (BLD01_2_53). You can collect your ID Monday - Friday between 8.30am and 5pm AEST.
You can enrol in your subjects and finalise your timetable online. If you're having issues, visit the friendly team at Student Assist, located in the Main Library (BLD01_2_53) for assistance Monday - Friday between 8.30am and 5pm AEST, or click below for tips on how to enrol.

Bond University has provided Booktopia, an Australian online bookstore, with details of the prescribed textbooks for your subjects. Check the Booktopia Textbook Finder to see the details and buy a copy of your textbooks. Of course, you are welcome to buy your textbooks elsewhere, but be sure to check all the details to be certain that you are buying the correct ones! Not all textbooks are available from Booktopia and delivery is only within Australia and New Zealand. If your subject is not listed, please check the prescribed texts with your Lecturer.
The Library has many, but not all of the prescribed textbooks available as e-books. Others are available as print books in the Reserve collections if you are able to get to campus. Check with your Lecturer to determine whether it's necessary to have your own copy of the textbook.
