Bond University’s Master of Nutrition and Dietetic Practice (MNDP) has become the only Australian Master’s Program of its kind to be accredited in the United States.
Now that Bond’s MNDP has been accredited as a Foreign Dietitian Education Program (FDE) by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND; the accreditation arm of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics), all current and future students will have their degrees recognised in the US and will be eligible to sit the US Dietetic Registration Examination for Dietitians, following some additional internship time in the US.
The program is also accredited with Dietitians Australia (DA), making it the only dual-accredited Dietetics Program in the world.
Co-Head of Bond’s Master of Nutrition and Dietetic Practice, Associate Professor Dianne Reidlinger said the ACEND accreditation was great news for Bond’s current and future students wishing to practice internationally.
“Our students are global citizens by nature and it is our focus on global nutrition that sets us apart from the nutrition and dietetics programs offered by many other Universities,” Dr Reidlinger said.

“From 1 January 2024, the minimum degree requirement to be approved for eligibility for the US registration examination for dietitians will change from a bachelor's degree to a graduate degree – and Bond’s Master of Nutrition and Dietetic Practice is a graduate degree that meets this new requirement perfectly.”
