COVID-19 (coronavirus): Latest advice for the Bond community.

Right now you can study in one of Australia's fastest growing cities

Australia's Gold Coast – it's one of the best places in the world to live and one of the best places in the world to study.

With pristine golden beaches on one side and World Heritage rainforests on the other, when you study on the Gold Coast, you will discover a world of opportunities and places. Bond University is just 15 minutes from some of the best surf breaks on the coast at Burleigh Heads, less than an hour from Brisbane (the capital of Queensland) and close to two of Queensland’s best national parks - Lamington National Park and Springbrook National Park.

There is an exciting and evolving cultural scene on the Gold Coast. Whether you are looking for the next big foody or hand made goods market, industry workshops to network and further your skills, music and arts events, or getting involved at a local sport match; the Gold Coast has amazing variety on offer for entertainment and a youthful spirit to keep you wanting more.

Where to live

Bond has a range of on-campus accommodation options for students to really make the most of your Bond experience. Or if you prefer to live off campus in a rental or share property, one of our Bondies might be able to help you out.

Gold Coast culture

Gold Coast locals generally are known for their laid-back and relaxed approach to life. We’re mad about sport and coffee – and there’s plenty of both. The city hosts a string of major national and international sporting events each year. You will find restaurants and cafes serving authentic cuisine from almost any country you can think of, as well as community organisations, houses of worship and festivals representing all the different nationalities that have made their home here.

Local eateries

What you may not know about the Gold Coast is that the locals consider themselves foodies. Whether it's breakfast, lunch, dinner or just a snack - they're always up to try something new. The Urban List Gold Coast is a great blog for discovering new restaurants, cafes and more. Get a taste of the Gold Coast for yourself!
