What is the Student Experience Survey
Every year Bond University participates in the Student Experience Survey (SES), a national survey of current students at all Australian Higher Education providers. This survey is conducted on behalf of the Australian Government, by the Social Research Centre (a leading research organisation).
About the survey
The SES measures aspects of a student’s Higher Education program experiences linked to a number of indicators that are amenable to institutional influence. The SES provides current Higher Education students with the opportunity to talk about their University experience. The results of this research are used to help Bond and the Government gain insight into student experiences, and to monitor and improve teaching and learning in Australia.
The core SES focuses on six indicators of the student experience:
- Overall Quality of Educational Experience
- Teaching Quality
- Learner Engagement
- Learning Resources
- Student Support
- Skills Development

Survey administration
The SES is an Australian Government Department of Education and Training initiative which is administered by the Social Research Centre (SRC), forming part of the suite of higher education surveys under Quality Indicators for Learning and Teaching.
Invitations to participate in the Student Experience Survey will be sent by SRC to selected undergraduate and postgraduate coursework students’ Bond email accounts during September each year.
Survey incentives
